CAP data highlights declines in committee activity in US Congress

25 Oct 2019
In a recent Roll Call article, "Some lawmakers question amount of time spent in committees," CAP data is used to highlight the change in congressional activity.
PAP co-creater Bryan Jones was quoted in the article as well. “The subcommittee activity has declined for some of the same reasons that the committee activity has declined,” said Bryan Jones, a University of Texas at Austin professor who has compiled data on congressional committee activity. “Too much is done through the parties and not enough through the committee structure.”
