The Florida Agendas Project, under Dr. Cornacchione and Selin Ciltas was awarded the prestigious Haskell Research Award for their comprehensive study examining the legislative behaviors of women in the Florida legislature.
The project seeks to fill crucial gaps in existing research by examining individual state legislative institutions, specifically focusing on Florida.
The Haskell Award is granted to Faculty scholars from diverse fields of study who research on topics related to the Graham Center’s principles of civic engagement, public leadership, and public service. The results of each project will be completed by the end of the 2024-25 academic year and disseminated in the public sphere.
Each faculty recipient has enlisted the assistance of an undergraduate UF student in their research project. The student’s contribution will be recognized through co-authorship or acknowledgment in the research work.
