We are happy to announce that the 11th Annual Conference of the Comparative Agendas Project (CAP) will take place at the University of Amsterdam on July 4-6, 2018. We are pleased to announce Professor Claes de Vreese (UvA) as keynote speaker, who will deliver a lecture on the relationship between agenda setting and framing.
The conference is jointly organized by the Center for Politics and Communication (CPC) and the Amsterdam School of Communication research (ASCoR) and the with the financial support of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and the Dutch science foundation (NWO).
Presentations in all areas of agenda-setting and public policy are welcome. They should be based on an academic research paper, policy report, case study, and/or brief. Both academic and non-academic attendees are welcome. We will organize special sessions on “Agenda setting, media and the economic crisis” and “Agenda setting in a comparative perspective”. We encourage submissions relating to these themes in particular.
The conference will consist of keynote presentations, parallel paper panels, high-density sessions, junior-meets-senior sessions as well as a closing plenary session discussing the future of the Comparative Agendas Project.
